TRANSFER YOUR ASSETS

Support us

Supporting Break Poverty can be done in many ways. A donation is an alternative to a gift or a legacy, allowing you to commit to the fight against extreme poverty and provide essential support to the various projects we fund

MAKE A DONATION

In addition to donations, Break Poverty Foundation can collect donations.

The donation allows you to transmit a property during your lifetime and irrevocably. It is an effective way to support our organization by providing important and essential resources for its actions. Your donation can be for real estate, cash, a portfolio or a work of art.

Your donation is totally exempt from the transfer fees but must be notarized. However, the notary fees may be covered by our organization.

MAKE A TEMPORARY USUFRUCT GIFT

It is possible to donate a property while retaining its bare ownership and to transfer only the usufruct of the property for a specified period. This is known as a temporary usufruct donation.

A temporary usufruct donation applies to any type of income-generating asset, such as a portfolio of securities or rental property. It involves the donor temporarily relinquishing the income from the asset to Break Poverty Foundation, with the aim of supporting our mission

The tax advantage of a temporary usufruct donation

The main advantage of this type of donation is that it allows you to remove both the asset and the income generated from your taxable estate for a certain period.

In other words, during the donation period, the value of the assets given in usufruct is excluded from the taxable estate, and the income itself is no longer taxed as income.

Note that, since the donated asset is removed from the estate for the duration of the donation, the amount of the wealth tax (IFI) is also automatically reduced.

The temporary usufruct donation has another advantage due to its fixed duration, which is at least three years. The donor is guaranteed to regain full ownership of the asset at the agreed-upon end date, without any payment required.

  • In the case of a temporary usufruct donation of a securities portfolio, Break Poverty Foundation will receive the income generated by the securities.
  • In the case of a temporary usufruct donation of a rental property, Break Poverty Foundation will receive the full rental income.

Through this usufruct donation, your estate helps support the poorest children.

Note : Your donation is exempt from gift taxes. It is also exempt from any taxation on its financial and property income.
