The Break Poverty Institute has set up a rigorous evaluation system to assess the impact of the DAT (Dotation d’Action Territoriale) on local areas. Measuring impact is an integral part of our programs and their operation. It is a key step, at the heart of our action strategy.
In line with the impact assessment process begun in 2020, the independent evaluation firm Koreis has produced two reports, the first in 2020 and the second in 2022. A third report will be published at the end of 2024. This study has highlighted the positive impacts, constructive testimonials and striking experiences that DAT has generated in the territories where it has been implemented.
The Dotation d’Action Territoriale is a scheme designed and developed by the Break Poverty Foundation to create dynamic, long-term links between local authorities, associations and businesses to help disadvantaged children and young people in their area. The aim is for all players to join forces and take effective joint action in the fields of early childhood, school dropout prevention and professional integration.

OF WHICH
Break Poverty provided an analytical, objective approach, with proposed solutions for taking concrete action against poverty, on a territory, together.
Gilles Monteil, Chief Financial Officer of Refresco France
I'm that young school dropout who never took the plunge. L'Envol (an association supported by the DAT) was a fundamental experience that taught me to accept myself, (...) made me more mature and made me aware of who I am and what I want to be. I felt ready to make contact with a company, Envol had prepared me.
Vince, young person supported by Envol in 2021-2022
DAT is a win-win situation for the company, the association and the young person, as well as for the community. DAT is tangible, measurable, commensurable: it's a necessary bond of trust between all the players involved.
Marie-Hélène Thoraval, Mayor of Romans-sur-Isère
The action was reinforced by the support of the companies involved in DAT. This support was key to the success of the young people and to the mobilization of the companies involved in the internship search.
Alice Tabard, Territorial Manager for the Proxité association
