30 Aug 2024 Fair Friday : Giving Black Friday a solidarity dimension
To counter the consumerist movement of Black Friday, some companies are choosing to go against the grain and give it an ethical and solidarity-based dimension.
For the 3rd edition of Fair Friday, taking place from November 25 to 28, Jade Roller, a French company behind the movement, has decided to donate 50% of sales during these 4 days to Break Poverty.
They have chosen to support us
In the current economic climate, which is particularly difficult for the most vulnerable, Jade Roller has decided to support the fight against child and youth poverty. As a reminder, 1 in 5 children in France is poor, that’s over 3 million. And a poor child is likely to remain so as an adult. It is therefore urgent to eradicate this scourge to give them a chance of success and break this vicious circle.
About Jade Roller
Jade Roller is a brand of beauty products combining performance and tradition. A pioneer on the French market, Jade Roller develops massage tools and cosmetics rooted in millennia-old Asian beauty rituals. She has been at the forefront of this movement for 3 years.
The Fair Friday movement
Originating in the United States, Black Friday and Cyber Monday encourage retailers to offer rock-bottom prices on the last Friday in November. This day, which has become a symbol of consumerism, is one of the busiest shopping days in the world.
Fair Friday presents itself as a strong solidarity project, offering an alternative to over-consumption. The movement aims to enable shoppers to make lasting changes to their consumption patterns. During these 4 days, each brand involved in the movement donates part of its sales to a chosen association.
Thank you to Jade Roller for choosing to join us this year in the fight against child and youth poverty in France.
