#Connexion d’Urgence: Break Poverty wins Institut de France award

Break Poverty Receives an Exceptional Award from the Institut de France

The Grand Prix ceremony of the Institut de France is held each year in the spring. It is one of those moments when, with solemnity, founders, academicians, correspondents of the Institut, external experts, and laureates come together to reflect on the vast philanthropic mission of this great institution.

This year, despite the health crisis, the Grand Prix juries were able to meet and select their laureates remotely. The Institut recognized the work of the Break Poverty Foundation with an exceptional grant of 125,000 euros. This grant supports the #Connexion d’Urgence initiative, which aims to equip thousands of underprivileged young people with computers so they can continue their studies remotely.

The Break Poverty Foundation wishes to extend its gratitude to Mr. Xavier Darcos, Chancellor, the academicians, correspondents of the Institut, and external members of the Grand Prix juries for their support. Special thanks go to the Charles Defforey, Merieux, NRJ, Lefoulon-Delande, Del Duca, and Minerve Foundations for their donations.

Thanks to this invaluable support, more than 500 young people will be able to continue their studies. Despite the current challenging circumstances, these young people will be able to avoid dropping out of school.

We are proud and honored to carry out this initiative alongside the Institut de France
